God, you guys, I’m reading this series by Elizabeth Peters about this woman called Vicky Bliss (I know, right) - she’s a hot but super-intelligent art historian who by night investigates art theft and hunts down forgeries and there’s this guy! who is a master criminal who specialises in forgeries and THEY JUST MADE OUT and I AM DYING.

This series was written in the seventies and gets pretty pointed about having a hero who’s different from usual lady characters, which can get a little annoying, but she’s still refreshing!! and she gets information and she goes and researches about it at a LIBRARY!!! at one point I got all “oh no you didn’t!” when she introduced herself by her actual name because I thought the bad guys would be able to research it and find out what she was up to but THEY DIDN’T HAVE GOOGLE!!

Sorry I am so excited!! I’m not recommending this to anyone until I’m done with more of it but I just wanted to talk about how excited I am!!!

Basically what I mean to say is bless the reader on my phone for letting me speed through this series wherever I go.

k, this series is so fucking fun. It’s really light reading but reading it’s all I’ve done in the free time I’ve gotten in the last two days. And Peters is so smart about giving neither character the upper hand when it comes to the love story but still working that chemistry so nicely I LOVE IT.
